| The beginning of a New Era |

1 In the noise of thunder, the beasts spoke to us: "Come and see!"
2 And we saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
3 He commanded the wind and the clouds.
4 And there went out another horse that was orange: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth . . . and there was given unto him a great sword.
5 He commanded the flames and the sun.
6 And another horse, the darkest blue; and he that sat upon him had the scales of justice in his hand, and power was given him to judge the world.
7 He commanded the rivers and the seas.
8 And we looked again, and beheld a pale green horse; and the rider thereof had the power to slay with the sword, with hunger, with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
9 He commanded the earth and the plants.
10 And we knew we were witnessing an apocalypse; an end of times and the moment of prophesy when we, the four Founders of this community, would take our place in the history books, and a new group of four would take the lead, these riders of the apocalypse, four horsemen to guide through the darker times on a redemptive journey.
11 We believe that the prophecy made long ago at the temple of Rameumptom is fulfilled this day:
The sword who bore the mark of runes,
In granite mountains, forged and laid,
Whose ever-burning shaft unmoved,
Lest crimson blades and foul'd tongues raged.
O Blossoming beauty, from untaught knaves,
to Six kingdoms set on pillars tamed,
Though pitous overthrows by unproven princes,
The fiery heat, ne'er-seen visage waned!
But lo! The fourth's promised return:
A ragged warrior, plucked from nobility's flight,
Sheds the ancient malice born,
Discarding woes and buries civil strife.
The fearful halos of such death-mark'd saints,
Which, but ignominious end, nought could remove,
Is now the future of this phoenix staged;
Ris'n from the ashes, tried and true.
12 Therefore, on this day, the 13th of July 2008, the Founders officially turn over the governing powers in Sword of Laban to Blue Steel, Neo, The Goof, and Vuel Egham, hereafter known as the Four Horsemen.
13 As our final act, as the war rages on, we say unto you all:
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our gamer dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest gamers.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many SoL'ers,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war. And you, good Vuel,
Whose limbs were made in SoL, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'For Sword of Laban and her membership!'
